At the Violet Project, we firmly believe in engaging with our community and involving as many young voices in decision-making processes as possible. If you're passionate about Violet's mission, you can do a paid or unpaid internship with us!
Look for us in Baltimore! We table at events like Fiesta Baltimore and Baltimore PRIDE. We post upcoming events on our social media.
We have weekly volunteer opportunities. We need help making period packs, creating educational materials, and dropping products off to our partner organizations. Any and all help is welcomed! Sign up for our volunteer newsletter here.
Summer Paid Internship
We are official partners of YouthWorks and Johns Hopkins Summer Jobs. We will link the application when it is live for the 2023 summer! It usually goes live in the spring.
This internship requires a 25 hour/week committment.
Eligibility: living in Baltimore, ages 15-21
Summer Unpaid Internship
Want to be involved but can't commit 25 hours?
Do an unpaid internship with Violet! Positions are posted in our newsletter when they become available. Unpaid interns are asked to commit 5 hours/week and are given a free meal ticket each shift. Scrubs or business casual clothes are provided if you do not have your own.
Interns will have the opportunity to directly interact with patients and healthcare providers, be trained as peer educators for public health equity, and gain a variety of other creative and critical thinking skills.
School Year Internship
If you'd like to work with us during the school year, we offer a variety of flexible opportunities. Currently, we do not have paid yearlong opportunities, but we are working on procuring funding and will update this page if paid positions become available.
