How do I know that I am pregnant?

If you miss your period, you can get a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant. If you are on birth control, you may not get a period, depending on the type, so be sure to talk with your doctor so you know the effects. If you recently had sex and are concerned about pregnancy, but have not missed a period yet, do NOT test for pregnancy, as the test will not be able to tell you yet and will likely be negative. Once you have missed your period, you can use a pregnancy test to see. You can get pregnancy tests at your local pharmacy, or order from violetproject.org/store. You can also go to your doctor and they can test you.

If you do test positive, go to your doctor as soon as possible, and they will be able to verify your test and help you in whatever way you need. To learn more about pregnancy, visit violetproject.org/pregnacy
