I'm scared I might be pregnant. I haven't told my parents I've had sex, and abortion pills are expensive. What should I do?

First, you should check if you are pregnant. If you have missed a period, you can take a pregnancy test which you can buy at your local drug store, or order online from Violet (violetproject.org/store), though this will take longer. You can also visit various clinics for free testing!

If you feel comfortable talking with your parents, they can be a good resource to help you out. Regardless, if you think you are pregnant, you should visit a doctor. This could be your normal doctor, an OB/GYN, or you can visit doctors in various clinics. They can check if you are pregnant, talk about your options if you are pregnant, and help you decide what is best for you. We have a list of clinics at the bottom of our pregnancy page (https://www.violetproject.org/pregnancy) you can check out! You can also look up clinics near you, such as Planned Parenthoods, to learn more. When choosing a clinic, avoid "pregnancy crisis centers," as they often do not provide you with all your options, such as abortion.
